We’ve come a long way with our fitness. We were always active growing up, playing volleyball in elementary school and dancing for our high school’s pom squad, but when it came to exercising on our own, we were never consistent.
When we got into our upper teens and 20s, we would work out 5 days a week for a month and then become inactive for the following month or two. We never had motivation and really didn’t know how to work out really. Our workouts usually consisted of cardio. Walking\running on the treadmill and a stationary bike were pretty much our forms of exercise with an occasional workout video thrown in there.
Since the summer of 2010 all of that has changed. Lisa’s wedding was going to be that August and she wanted to work out with a trainer for the 6 weeks before the big day to tone up. Well, we got addicted and signed up for many more sessions. We learned so much from our trainer and our love for strength training formed.
It feels so good to look and feel so strong!
We firmly believe that strength training and cardio are the keys for staying toned and in your best shape. Below is our weekly exercise routine, and some examples of our cardio and strength training workouts!
Our Weekly Exercise Schedule
Day 1- Strength Training
Day 2- Cardio & Core
Day 3- Strength Training
Day 4- Cardio & Core
Day 5- Yoga or something else!
Cardio Exercises
3-2-1 HIIT Running Treadmill Workout
3-2-1 HIIT Walking Incline Workout
Walk at any pace you’d like and increase the incline as followed
Strength Training Exercises
Total Body Workout
Complete each circuit 3 times doing 15 reps for each move
