Lisa’s Pregnancy–32 Weeks

32 weeks

I definitely need to remember to allow for more writing space when I take my pictures now! With a growing belly, there will be less and less room to write. As you can see, I had to write over part of my arm this week, oops!

Maria & I first and foremost want to thank everyone for all their amazing support on my last post. We received so many comments, e-mails and messages with such positive feedback and encouragement. You guys truly made us feel amazing about ourselves. We never know who is reading our posts, so it was great to hear that there are many of you out there and you all enjoy doing so! Each and every one of you made us feel so special.

Now, let’s see what Baby Roberto is doing this week!

**********************************************************************************************

He’s getting ready for his descent — he’s likely in the head-down position now. (He was at my appointment last week!)

And he’s probably feeling even more cramped.

And because your baby is accumulating more fat, his skin is finally turning opaque (like yours), which means those see-through days are over.

What’s New?

Days until my due date: 56 days.

Belly Button: I still have an innie, but it’s getting pretty close to flattening and then popping out!

Baby’s position: At my doctor appointment last week he could feel that the baby was head down. I’m hoping he’ll stay that way!

Nursery: I can’t really get things finished in there until the furniture gets delivered. It’s supposed to arrive sometime in the first week of July. The soon the better because I really want to get things finished and set in there.

Cravings: Ice Cream! For weeks now, if I want to indulge in something sweet it’s almost always ice cream. I try to keep it healthy by making banana froyo, but sometimes I just need a scoop of haagen daz!

How I’m Feeling

I’m still feeling pretty great! I’ve been getting all my workouts in each week, but definitely have to take more and more breaks when it comes to my strength training sessions. It’s very important to me to stay strong throughout my pregnancy, but I never push myself if I’m starting to get out of breathe. I’m thankful that I’m carrying my belly pretty low, and my lungs haven’t gotten too squashed, yet!

Emotionally, I’m feeling really excited! I can’t believe that in only 8 weeks, give or take a few days, baby Roberto will be here. Rinaldo & I know that our lives will never be the same and that being parents takes lots of work, but we cannot wait to have him here with us and spoil him with tons of cuddles and kisses!

Lastly, here are some recent eats of mine that I’ve been enjoying!

IMG_1078 Smoothie – 1 cup greek yogurt, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1\2 cup water and vanilla stevia

I made this as part of my breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and it was really good! I’m definitely going to be making this more often.

IMG_8591 Fresh Juice – Lettuce, carrots, cucumber and lemon

Scrambled Eggs with cherry tomatoes, goat cheese and basil.

I try to get creative when eating my 2 eggs a day and this combination of ingredients turned out really good. Have you ever tried goat cheese in your eggs? It’s one of my favorites!

IMG_2571Our garden has been exploding with lettuce, so I’ve been making salads or juicing with it every day! Now we have kale that needs to be picked so I’m excited about that. I plan on making tons of kale chips to snack on throughout the day.

How do you cook your kale?

Anything exciting going on this week for you?

Wow that’s some great looking lettuce from your garden! You sure have a green thumb :)

The bump is as cute as always! These next 8 weeks are going to fly…. although it may seem kinda slow the more close and excited you get :)

You are glowing! Seriously looking fab! And that lettuce looks so vibrant, I wish I had the motivation to plant a garden. It looks so pretty! And probably tastes way better.

Lisa! You’ve popped since last time!!! You look amazing. I love that belly!

I owe you another email back too. So glad to see you girls still blogging!

I eat goats cheese in my eggs all the time. It’s incredible. It’s the only cheese I eat (besides feta). Amazing with spinach too!

You look amazing! Are those maternity jeans?? They are super nice!
Kale is prob my favourite green. I steam it with a little bit of vinegar, put it in smoothies or massage it for huge salads.
    SO jealous of your lettuce!

I love using kale in smoothies or salads! Nothing too tricky! :) You’re looking great and I can’t believe you only have 50 some days to go!!! Yay!
You should totally do a post on gardening, I would love to grow my own vegetables, but have no idea where to start!

Lisa, You look awesome! Hard to believe there is only 8 weeks left! That’s awesome. I am so on the count down and ready to meet our little girl. PLus I am really uncomfortable at this stage in the game (36 weeks)
I love goat cheese on eggs too, well pretty much an anything!
Glad you are still feeling great!

I’ve only ever used Kale to make kale chips and my boyfriend literally ate the whole head worth of chips himself!

awww you look wonderful!! I am so jealous of the lettuce growing in your garden! We missed the boat this year (although we do have tomato plants) because we just had too many other things to get to in the yard work area. There’s a lot to do with a new house! In any case, next year we will hopefully be rocking a huge garden!
