Hi-ya there!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I’ve been a little under the weather lately, I felt like I was coming down with something the past two days, so I did what I always do.
Rested and Juiced.
I go through phases with juicing, but when I’m feeling sick, it’s a must! I truly believe that it helps too. I juiced after work yesterday and again this morning and I’m already feeling better. Although, a co-worker just told me that I looked really tired…
Maybe she saw the green juice that I spilled all over my belly this morning. I guess I shouldn’t drink and drive!
Anyways, just wanted to check in to see how the Sugar Free Challenge is going for those who are participating!
It’s been going really well for me. Did I mention that Rinaldo is doing the challenge with me? He never had a sweet tooth until he met me… It’s been great that I have him as support too. There have been a few times where we both would’ve liked to go out for ice cream or order dessert at a restaurant, but we stayed strong!
He’s been loving all the sugar free treats I’ve been making.
I made these Chocolate-Coconut Fudge Bites a few days ago and he totally dominated them. I made about 20 and I think I only had like 4 or 5 of them. He loved them and said that they tasted like they shouldn’t be healthy. Score! I’m going to play with the recipe one more time today and then I’ll post the recipe tomorrow!
Before I go, I wanted to share something that has been helping me a lot through this challenge.
I tried liquid stevia (an all natural herbal sweetener) several months ago. I purchased the Whole Foods brand and honestly never liked it. I used it here and there, but it always had such a horrible after taste.
Maria recommended me trying NuNaturals Vanilla Liquid Stevia, and boy am I glad she did! I’ve been using it in everything from protein muffins to those fudge bites and I’m loving it. It’s sweet and doesn’t leave you with a bitter after taste.
I even used some to sweeten up some fresh whipped cream last night to go with our banana soft serve and it worked really well! I highly recommend giving the NuNaturals Stevia a try if you’re looking to reduce the amount of sugar you eat. They have other flavors like orange and lemon too.
Well, I’ll be back tomorrow with the Chocolate-Coconut Fudge Bites Recipe!
Have you tried liquid stevia before?
If you’re participating in the challenge, how’s it going so far??
