Since I can remember, I always looked forward traveling to Italy in the summertime. I love everything about the Country, the food, the people, the buildings & the culture. Spending a month in Italy each year allows me to appreciate the simple things in life.
There are, of course, some things I miss about home towards the end of my trip. There are the obvious things, like friends and family, but there are also some other things I miss!
Believe it or not, but I seriously missed my green smoothies!
In Italy, lunch is the largest meal of the day. We rarely got up before 10am, so I never had too much of a breakfast since we would eat lunch around noon.
I missed getting up early (I know it sounds crazy) and making a smoothie to start off my day!
I missed my nut butters.
I think I had a some toast with almond butter as a snack every day last week!
I missed morning runs with my other half.
Can I just say that running outside is the BEST in the fall. The weather is absolutely perfect!

I missed my fro-yo.
Italy has frozen yogurt, but it does not compare to my beloved Red Mango! I’m so excited about their latest fall flavor, Pumpkin Spice. Yes, Please!
I missed my buddy Leo.
Poor thing was boarded at our vet the entire time. He’s definitely glad to be back roaming in his home freely.
I missed sushi.
I love Italian food, but what I love more is the variety of cuisines Chicago has to offer.
I’m almost caught up at work and just trying to enjoy fall.
I’ve realized this year that it’s my favorite season. I love the weather, the foods, the smells, the clothes and just everything about it!
What’s your favorite season?
What do you missed the most when you’re away from home?
