Is it really Friday? This week totally flew by and I can’t believe that Easter is here in 2 days. Boy do I have lots to do!
Thanks for all your feedback on which dessert I should make. Even though it seems that the majority of you suggested going with the White Chocolate Raspberry bars, I think I’m going to go ahead with the Lemon Chiffon Cake!
I came to realize that my brother Carmine would also be able to enjoy this dessert along with everyone. I mentioned before that he can’t have any dairy products. Now, it seems that he can’t have butter, milk, etc. He’s ok with eggs so this cake seemed perfect since it uses eggs and vegetable oil. Yay, We have a winner!
I only worked a half day today which was great. From this moment on I’ll be busy getting everything ready for Sunday. We’re actually eating pretty early this year. 12:30pm instead of the usual 4pm. My brother Paolo is here from California and has to catch his flight back home Sunday night.
I’ll be back on Monday with a full recap on how everything went, but until then I’ll give you guys a sneak peak with the menu!
Cannelloni filled with ground veal and cheeses (Also know as manicotti)
Cavatelli alla Bolognese
Lamb with Roasted Potatoes
Italian-Style Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes
Sauteed Peas & Onions
Vegetable Tian (Maria’s going to make this and bring it over)!
Mixed Green Salad with Almonds
Lemon Chiffon Cake
Funfetti Cookies for the kids
Cuculi (Mom’s Easter Bread)
Since it’s Earth Day I wanted to share one of my favorite things with you guys!
SnackTaxi’s are reusable bags for snacks and sandwiches. They are meant to be used as you would plastic zip lock bags. These snack bags are made in the USA and are a green and earth friendly reusable products. I don’t know about you but I use a ton of plastic bags and SnackTaxi’s really help me cut down immensely!
I’ve had mine for about a couple months now and I love them! I use them just about everyday. I high recommend them!
They’re available in many different patterns and 2 sizes: Snack-sacks and Sandwich-sacks.
What do you think of my menu?!
Well, I hope you all have a Wonderful Easter and truly enjoy the time you spend with family & friends!
