Weekend Eats!

Happy Monday! I say we all make the week ahead of us a good one, ok?!

First things first, I didn’t go to the gym this morning.

I decided last night that I’d like to sleep in a little and I’m glad I did. I tend to be more tired on Monday mornings and I think I’m not the only one!

I’m going to try my best to a get a workout in tonight.

Anyways, I thought I’d share some of my weekend eats with you guys. Maria and I don’t really post all the meals we eat in a day that often so, I thought I’d give it a shot this weekend!

Here we goo!

I started Saturday morning off to a great start with a favorite combo.

Cheese + Fruit = LOVE

I enjoyed a cinnamon raisin bagel thin with raspberry preserves and a slice of muenster cheese with a sliced banana on the side.

Not too long after I made it to the gym for the Barbell Strength Class. I LOVE that class so much. It works so many different muscles and it’s definitely not an easy class.

I finished off with 15 minutes on the bike and headed home to make some lunch

Looks like another breakfast!

Since I worked my muscles a ton I wanted something with lots-o-protein.

I enjoyed  an egg scramble with sauteed peppers along with some plain Greek yogurt sweetened with a little maple syrup and topped with strawberries!

After lunch and I was ready to get some good cleaning done in the house.

Do you guys have specific days that you do cleaning? I usually do laundry on Thursdays and then I clean on Saturdays.

Once my husband got home from work we relaxed a little before we headed to our dinner at Bonefish Grill, one of our favorite restaurants. We’re in love with their house salads because the dressing is just to die for!

I tried something new for my meal and it was very good!

Not the best picture, sorry!

I got the  salmon topped with a warm mango salsa along with a vegetable medley and a chick pea\spinach mixture.

Everything was so good, but my favorite was definitely the mango salsa. It paired so well with the salmon.

After dinner, we lounged around and got some coffee at Starbucks. We had some time to waste before heading to the movies.

We saw “Win Win” and both really liked it.

By the time we got home it was past midnight and we both were so ready for bed.

Yesterday was a great day as well. I made some pancakes and eggs for breakfast that we’re great! I didn’t get a picture this time!

Soon after, my husband and I hit the mall to do some shopping.

I think red is my color!

I really liked this dress I tried on at Express, but I wasn’t crazy how it fit me from the back. Booo! :(

After some shopping, we were pretty hungry and got some lunch at our favorite place in the mall. The Nordstrom Cafe. They have the best salads, soups and more!

For me!

I got my favorite salad. Mixed greens with chicken, strawberries, goat cheese, pecans and pickled onions.

For him!

My husband got a shrimp & avocado sandwich served on a brioche bun. I got a bite from him and it was really good!

My husband ended up getting that spring jacket at the Gap but didn’t go for the sunglasses! I loved them!

We did a little more shopping after wards and then headed back home. We had a pretty relaxing evening.

oh yah!

My husband made some fresh pasta for dinner that was great! I didn’t get a picture, again! My husband worked at his family restaurant in Italy for many years so he’s definitely not clueless when it comes to cooking! Him & his father make THE BEST PIZZA EVER!

I better get back to work now!

Do you like seeing what others eat on a daily basis?

What meal looked the best to you?!

You’re so right – red is your color!! I love that dress! It’s too bad the back didn’t fit well.

Your salad from the Nordstrom Cafe looks delish!

Looks like a fun weekend! I love seeing what people eat daily, but for some reason I feel like people would be bored with what I eat!

Looks like a lot of great food—I’m such a fan of breakfasts :)
I like peeking at people’s food—sometimes when it’s the same salad over and over again, it can be a little boring, but overall..yes!
